When I visited the school and spoke with the Dean of Admissions, I asked her what she thought the strengths of the program were. She said the SSW was particularly well-respected and known for their Management and Community Organization concentration. Also, being located in downtown Baltimore with a large class of MSW students (around 800), students also have significant exposure to diversity within the community and the program. For anyone interested in Maternal and Child Health social work, they currently have a grant that provides living stipends and full tuition to 4-6 students yearly. The out-of-state tuition is a little too high for me and the financial aid was like there are some attractive aspects of the program.
