Hello, I am searching for topics for an independent research project. A mentor suggested I try the "efficiency of social work in the modern era": basically, check out the quality, bureaucracy, status quo of how social workers (in say, Washington DC., or some other specific area) work, ways to improve, etc.

I am enthusiastic about starting this project, but am worried that I will not have enough formal resources to fill the 20-ish pages I am required to fill. Can anyone recommend any books or non- .com resources for me to look at, that will specifically cover my topic? Or perhaps offer some comments on the viability of this?
