I have been convicted trespassing (no formal probation, only summary probation and 100 fine)in CA for a shoplifting two years ago. I want to apply for a job in the county and after the conviction I got a master degree and keep clean and meet the requirement for the position of social worker. Can the country use my past record to deny my employment application?
