My girlfriend and I are split between Australia and the US (we're Australian, but I'm currently working in the US). She is starting to study social work in Australia, but we are unsure whether that course would be recognized in the US if she tries working here. Reciprocally, we're unsure that if she studied in the US, then would she be able to work in Australia?

Could someone please tell me how Australian/US courses in social work are accredited, and to what extent overseas qualifications are recognized?
