Join us for SWDE 2017! We’re happy to have you as contributors, educators, and learners alike. Technological innovations are advancing at a dizzying speed, which is wonderful and challenging all at once as we find innovative ways to reach a wider range of students. We are discovering, together, how to best use distance education tools within the context of a quality social work education. In these high speed tech driven times it is more important than ever to share with and learn from one another, as together we strive to create a meaningful and effective learning environment for student communities that are growing ever bigger and stretching ever wider.
Our profession strives to ameliorate social injustices in order to impact the world. Now, through distance education, we can achieve a global connection. Social work education provided through a distance learning platform allows students to grow where they live, thereby impacting social justice in a broader spectrum of communities.
Proposals are due January 20, 2017.
The conference is hosted by Our Lady of The Lake University.
