Katrina: What Can You Do?

We at THE NEW SOCIAL WORKER would like to express our sincere concern and sadness for those affected by the devastation brought on by Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. Over the last few days, we have heard many stories of social work and publishing colleagues, as well as social work students, who are among those who have lost so much in this disaster.

The need for help is great. Social workers and others are needed to volunteer their time, skills, monetary, and concrete resources to help those in need at this time. Below (click "Read More") are some sources of information on how you can help and what is being done.
