Resilience in Practice: Understanding & Preventing Secondary Trauma (2 CEUs)
Facilitated by Amber Moore, MSSW, LSW
Social Workers and helping professionals are often exposed to the emotional weight of others’ trauma, which can lead to secondary trauma, burnout, and compassion fatigue. Resilience in Practice is an interactive CEU training designed to help professionals recognize signs of secondary trauma, understanding it’s impact, and implement practical strategies to build personal and professional resilience.
Participants will explore evidence-based approaches to burnout, enhance self-care, and maintain effectiveness in their roles. Through guided self-assessments, reflective exercises, and group discussions, attendees will leave with a personalized action plan to safeguard their well-being while continuing to provide compassionate, high-quality care to clients.
This course is co-sponsored by Relationship Toolshop International Training Institute and is pending approval for 2 Continuing Education hour for Social Workers, Counselors and Marriage & Family Therapists by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (Approved Provider number: RSX012201)
