Co-Creating Inclusive Space Agreements in a Polarized World

You are invited to a Courageous Action "Co-Creating Inclusive Space Agreements in a Polarized World," sponsored by the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama.

As group leaders, psychodrama presenters and clinicians, we are called to navigate the complexities of an increasingly polarized world while holding space for growth, healing, and connection. Our heartfelt intention is to create environments that are inclusive and actively anti-oppressive. Doing so requires courage, intentionality, and skills – and we invite you to join ASGPP’s Sociatry and Social Justice Committee on Wednesday, July 9, for a special online workshop from 7 to 8:30 ET.

Our presenters, ASGP members and members of the Sociatry and Social Justice Committee, are:

• Daisy Martinez-DiCarlo (she, her), LMHC-QS, PAT, founder and director for Theatre for Social Justice.

• Danielle Croom, LCSW (she, they), assistant director online MSW program at Widener University.

• Sheila Dallas-Katzman, M.A. (she, her), artistic director of Ten Lanterns Transformative Theatre.

• Jennie Kristel (she, her), REAT, APTT, RMT, Registered Expressive Arts therapist and accredited Playback Theatre trainer.

• Ed Schreiber, TEP (he, they), psychodramatist and presenter in sociodynamic effect of sociometry.

• Michael Watson, Ph.D. (he, him), psychotherapist and educator, and active visual and theater artist.

Negotiating inclusive space agreements is a courageous act. It allows us, as facilitators, to model and co-create a foundation of respect, safety, and equity with our participants. By embodying and practicing these agreements, we help set a tone for learning, connecting and growing in spaces that are both safer and braver.

During this Courageous Action Workshop, we will collaboratively explore and develop concrete skills to help you negotiate inclusive space agreements with confidence and compassion.
