Human Mobility: A Uniting Journey of Perspectives - TEDx Talk by Social Worker Elizabeth Gamarra

Immigrants and refugees face unique challenges in their new homes. Elizabeth Gamarra, herself an immigrant, challenges us to re-think how we treat immigrants and refugees. What was true 5,000 years ago is quite often true today. In her light-hearted, yet serious, TEDxSaltLakeCity talk, Elizabeth Gamarra takes three cornerstones of the Inca law and gives them a brave new world twist: Do Not Lie, Do Not Steal, and Do Not Be Lazy.

Social worker Elizabeth Gamarra was featured as the student role model in the Summer 2017 issue of The New Social Worker and graduated with her MSW from the University of Utah in 2017.  She is currently a Fulbright Fellow in Spain and has also been selected for a Rotary International Peace Fellowship.
