Professional Scholarship in Social Work Practice - Video

     Scholarship.  For some social work students and practitioners, this word arouses feelings of anxiety and dread;  for others, it  represents an activity they enjoy,  but  can’t find the time to do. This presentation explores creative approaches to scholarship in social work practice ,  along with practical examples from the experience of one recent MSW graduate. In addition, the video presents several practical strategies for becoming effective at producing scholarship as a means to share practice experiences. Whether you are a current student struggling with how to approach an assignment or a practitioner who needs some fresh ideas to share your  work, may this presentation be a source of inspiration.

Wade Drury, MSW, is a graduate of Spalding University in Louisville, KY, where he earned his Master of Social Work degree. He currently works as a case manager in a community behavioral health agency.
