Conversations on Social Work Careers: It Takes a Village/Breaking Barriers as a Social Worker of Color

In this episode of Conversations on Social Work Careers, Jennifer Luna talks with five Black women in social work - Chaundra Scott, Nicole Crawford Sumerall, Sarita Ford, Serretta-Brooke Gordon, and Brittany White. These social workers are making Black history and breaking barriers as co-authors of the forthcoming book, It Takes a Village, which is pre-launching during Black History Month and will be officially launched during Social Work Month. Themes discussed in the video include self-care, boundaries, advocacy, professional development, advice for new macro social workers, collaboration, networking, knowing your worth, and much more for social workers at any career level.
