49. Barbara is head of prospect research for Wellsworth College, a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt institution of higher learning. She has been working with one major donor, Benson, for several years, and they have met socially on many occasions, with both spouses being included. At their last meeting, Benson, who is quite wealthy and has several vacation homes, offers Barbara the use of his Cape Cod beach house for a week at a time when Benson is not using it. And he has mentioned on more than one occasion that he might leave something in his will for Barbara, who has been a true friend and made it possible for Benson to provide for his favorite alma mater, Wellsworth, which contributed so much to his success as a businessperson.
