7. Priscilla is the receptionist for the local YMCA. She has a lunch meeting scheduled today with a committee consisting of parents from her son’s school to plan a fundraising event. She does not have a photocopy machine at home, and decides to make five copies on the YMCA’s photocopy machine of a newspaper article from today’s paper on how groups might raise funds for various causes to hand out at the meeting.

a. Is Priscilla acting unethically by making these copies?

b. Is your answer different if Priscilla is making one copy? Fifty copies? A thousand copies?

c. What should an organization’s policy be with respect to making photocopies on the organization’s copier for personal use? What sanctions should there be for violating this policy?
