Ethics Scenario #99: Having a Dream Foundation

99. Agnes is the executive director of the Having a Dream Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that grants “wishes” to disabled children. Agnes, who is attractive, eligible and single, has been schmoozing up a major donor, Winton, an attractive widower who is capable of making a healthy six-figure annual gift to the Foundation according to her prospect research file. She successfully secures his gift in the amount of $50,000. While hoping for more, she knows that these additional funds will make her organization’s mission easier to achieve.
